Farewell

When I wake up, I'm lying in the bed next to Lena.
She looks very cute when sleeping.

But it's time to go now!

I don't want to wake her up, so I just get up myself and get dressed again.
Before I leave I stroke her cute face as a farewell.
Obviously she doesn't notice.

I leave the room and notice Selia sleeping in the livingroom.
I try to be silent but she wakes up.
She just smiles at me tiredly.
I say goodbye to her and leave.

Then I go back to my place, where Sven and Frederik are waiting for me.

Hey, we already got your stuff.
You said you wanted to go early today.

He reaches my luggage to me.

Yeah, thanks.

I take it and put it back on the floor.
Then I give Sven a hug.

After hugging him, Frederik is already coming closer and is the next to hug me.
He almost doesn't stop.

I didn't think, he would care so much about me.
We never were that close.
He doesn't even let go of me anymore.

But I'm touched by the situation as well and it's difficult to hold back my tears.

Don't worry, I'll come back soon. I'm sure, I'll be back in a few months, at least for a visit.

Frederik finally stops hugging me.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that. You'll be able to teach me a lot of stuff when you're back.

I stroke his head, and he smiles.

Where is Bernd? Is he still inside?

I have no idea. I didn't see him since you left with him yesterday. Didn't you spend the night together?

No, he went back home...

I'm starting to get worried.
Does he not want to live anymore without me... in this place?
Did he go on his own adventures?

But then I remember his long hug last evening.
He probably just wanted to avoid getting too emotional when saying goodbye properly.
Whatever he is doing, he wanted it to be that way.
He'll be fine.

He must just be on a small adventure as always.

Yeah, probably. You never know what he's doing.

After my intimate conversation with him, I'm pretty sure, he isn't.

So, I guess it's time to go now.

Yeah, I wish you a great time there.
And I'm already looking forward to see you again.

I pick up the luggage from the ground before and start to walk away.
I look back at them to wave and they wave back at me.

As they are far enough away, I don't look back anymore.
I just walk forward to my new destination.
The weather is just great today.

First I follow the same path I walked along with Lena that one time.
When I reach the fork, I don't enter the forest, though.
I just keep walking on the path that leads along the vast meadow.

And soon I also notice that village in the valley in the distance, but I just walk past it.

Now I must be further away from home than ever before.

I'm really on my own now!
And I'm looking forward to whatever will come!
